1. What is Bookable.health?
Bookable.health is a website that helps you find a GP surgery to register with, book a new patient appointment, and find the right place for your care. That might be an appointment with a nurse or doctor at a GP surgery, or a visit to a local pharmacy or dentist.
Bookable.health is owned and run by Healthtech 1 Limited ("Healthtech-1", "we", "us" and "our"). "You" and "your" mean you, the person using Bookable.health.
By using Bookable.health, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use Bookable.health. Using Bookable.health does not affect your right to access NHS care.
2. How Bookable.health works
Bookable.health gives you information and helps you find and book services. It does not give medical advice, diagnose conditions or recommend treatment. Healthtech-1 provides technology, not healthcare.
When you tell us how we can help, we use artificial intelligence (AI) to sort your request into a category and show you suitable options. AI does not make decisions about your care. Those decisions are made by healthcare professionals and GP surgeries.
When you register with a GP surgery through Bookable.health, we use the details you give us to fill in the NHS England online registration form for you. Some checks are done automatically using national NHS rules. If online registration is not suitable for you, you can still register by visiting the GP surgery in person.
Appointments you book through Bookable.health are confirmed or cancelled by the GP surgery.
Bookable.health is one way to get care, not the only way. You can always contact a GP surgery directly by phone or in person.
3. Urgent and emergency care
Bookable.health is not for urgent or emergency care. If you need medical help quickly, go to 111.nhs.uk (opens in a new tab) or call 111. In an emergency, call 999 or go to A&E.
4. Your responsibilities
When you use Bookable.health, you agree to:
- give accurate and complete information, so that you are directed to the right care and your registration can be processed;
- only use Bookable.health for yourself, or for someone you have the right to act for, such as your child;
- read and follow the guidance shown on Bookable.health, including guidance about urgent or emergency care;
- let the GP surgery know if you can no longer attend an appointment; and
- not misuse Bookable.health, for example by making false bookings or trying to disrupt the service.
If you are unsure about anything you see on Bookable.health, contact the GP surgery or get in touch with us.
5. GP surgeries and other healthcare providers
The GP surgery, pharmacy or other service you choose through Bookable.health is responsible for the care it gives you.
Once we submit your registration, NHS England and your chosen GP surgery are responsible for it. GP surgeries decide whether to accept registrations and appointments. We cannot guarantee that a GP surgery will have appointments available or will accept your registration.
6. Links to other websites
Bookable.health may link to other websites and services, such as NHS websites, pharmacies and dentists. We do not control these websites and are not responsible for what they contain. Their own terms and privacy notices apply when you use them.
7. Our responsibility to you
We work to keep Bookable.health accurate, safe and available. We cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors, or that information about GP surgeries and services is always up to date.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or harm caused by:
- relying on information shown on Bookable.health instead of getting advice from a healthcare professional;
- delays, interruptions or failures in Bookable.health or in services we rely on, such as the internet or NHS systems;
- not following guidance shown on Bookable.health, including guidance about urgent or emergency care; or
- content or services provided by other organisations.
Nothing in these Terms of Use limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
8. Your privacy
Our Patient Privacy Notice explains how we use your personal information when you use Bookable.health, including how we use AI and cookies and who we share your information with. You can read it in the footer of Bookable.health.
We only use non-essential cookies if you accept them. You can change your cookie choices at any time using the link in the footer of Bookable.health.
9. Changes to these Terms of Use
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The latest version will be in the footer of Bookable.health. If we make significant changes, we will take appropriate steps to let you know.
If you keep using Bookable.health after we update these Terms of Use, you agree to the new version. You can stop using Bookable.health at any time.
